Children Snoring Is a Breathing Disorder
Children snoring during sleep, many parents may think it is sleep incense. In actual fact, from a medical perspective, snoring known as “obstructive sleep apnea syndrome,” is a kind of breathing disorder that occur during the sleep.
Relative to adults, If breathing disorder often occurs during the sleep of children, which often have greater harm on the body, in particular, it will make great impact on the growth and development of children.
Children’s breathing disorder during sleep are differentiated with that of adults. Adult sleep-disordered breathing in 10 seconds or more, while the children’s standard is more than 6 seconds. That is to say the frequency of occurrence per hour for five or more times in an hour.
Children snoring are caused by a variety of reasons, such as genetics. Parents with the abnormal respiratory narrow jaw, usually their children may have the same, which may leading to snoring and breathing disorder .
The lesion of glands around the respiratory is the main reason for children snoring. Such as inflammation of the tonsils or adenoids which appeared swollen, the muscles will relax after the child fall asleep, swelled glands will be temporarily blocked airway and obstruct the ventilation. You can’t breath through your nose, so mouth breathing occurs, the result is the base of the tongue fall back, leading to snoring.
