Snoring is caused by a vibration of the uvula and soft palate and is experienced by almost half of the population at some stage in life. Also sleep apnea causes snoring.   • Do not drink or take any drugs before bed
  • Alcohol in the form of wine, beer or spirits just before going to bed can relax the tissue enough to cause snoring. Likewise, any kind of drug that causes muscles to become relaxed will also relax the tissue in your throat and cause snoring. If you need to drink or take any drugs, if possible try to take them at least 2 hours before retiring. If you have been prescribed to take any medication before bedtime please consult your doctor before changing any drug taken patterns.

  • Stop Snoring Pillow
  • Another one of the many solutions to stop snoring is a snoring pillow. These specially designed foam snoring pillows are made in a way to keep a person sleeping on their side instead of their back.

  • Food that can help snoring
  • Dairy products are known to increase mucous production in some people. This extra mucous can restrict the airway passages and lead to, or intensify, snoring.

    The consequence of removing a particular food or restricting the intake of a food group should be discussed with a medically qualified professional.

  • Exercise cures for snoring
  • sticking your tongue out straight ahead and gently tiring to increase the stretching of your tongue farther each day can help reduce snoring. Another tongue exercise cures for snoring can be done by sticking out your tongue the farthest you can and try to reach out for your chin.
